Inspired by our main monastery, Mitirigala Nissarana Vanaya, our mission is to help individuals realize Nibbāna in this very life.

Mindfulness Practice
At Nissarana Vihara, we emphasize mindfulness — known as Sati — as the foundation of our teachings. We believe that mindfulness leads to happiness through simplicity, contentment, and minimalism.
We conduct weekly meditation programs open to all who wish to cultivate mindfulness in their daily lives.
Retreats & Programs
We offer annual retreat programs where participants can stay and immerse themselves in deeper practice. These retreats provide a serene and focused environment for personal reflection and spiritual growth.
